Short, mostly mess-free, all using things you probably already have. Perfect for that 4pm patch when everyone's melting.
Sensory play (5-minute set-ups)
Frozen fruit bowl
10 minA tray of frozen berries and a spoon. Cold, squishy, gone in ten minutes.
Water + jugs
15 minBath, sink, or a washing-up bowl on a towel. Cups, spoons, funnel if you have one.
Cereal-box treasure dig
10 minUncooked pasta and a few plastic animals hidden inside.
Sticker peel-and-stick
10 minOne sheet of stickers, one big piece of paper. Fine-motor gold.
Bubble wrap stomp
5 minTape a strip to the floor. Instant giggles.
Shaving-foam window
15 minFoam on the glass door or the side of the bath. Wipes clean.
Kitchen helpers
Wash the veg
10 minToddler + colander + carrots + one low tap. Weirdly focused work.
Butter-knife banana slicing

Stir the batter

Torch chase

Book basket refresh

20 minOne sheet over the dining table + a torch + two soft toys.

Colour walk indoors
